Monday, November 18th, 1968 - After five weeks of closed schools and bitter labor disputes in New York City, members of the United Federation of Teachers vote to end their city-wide strike.
Tuesday, November 19th, 1968 - Typhoon Nina tears through the Philippines, killing at least 63 people.

- After fourteen years of marriage actress Audrey Hepburn and movie producer Mel Ferrer are granted a divorce in Switzerland.
Thursday, November 21st, 1968 - Yoko Ono suffers a miscarriage at Queen Charlotte's Hospital in London. A recording of the ill-fated child's heartbeat appears on the 1969 John Lennon/Yoko Ono album "Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With the Lions".
Friday, November 22nd, 1968 - The Beatles' double album "The Beatles" (more commonly known as 'The White Album') is released by Apple Records.
Saturday, November 23rd, 1968 - Tammy Wynette's classic song "Stand By Your Man" reaches #1 on the Country Singles Music Chart.
Sunday, November 24th, 1968 - French President Charles de Gaulle, in a radio address, announces he will institue an economic austerity program (including a wage-price freeze and new budget cuts) rather than devalue the franc.
